Royal Wilanów

The visual information system for Royal Wilanów highlights the architectural qualities of the building designed by JEMS Architects, one of Poland’s foremost architectural studios.

Our task was to design the wayfinding system including sign location masterplan and visual language. The system was applied in the interior, underground car park and exterior playground.

Wayfinding design as an integrated element of modern architecture.

We translated individual details of the building’s design into a graphic vocabulary and language. That's why iconography refers to the geometric design of the building.

Our system didn't need to shout. We wanted to make it subtle in the interiors of calm office space.

The visual concept was inspired by “razor blades” that appear on the building’s exterior. They became the basis for a graphic motif, cut in pylon signs and applied as murals found on the walls of staircases.

Each of 6 sector has its own pattern. They refer to the work and life rhythm of people working and moving around in the building.
